the ZOO!

I love the zoo!  LOVE IT.  Thankfully, my boys love it, too!  If it weren’t kind of far away we’d probably go weekly.  While Chris enjoys the zoo, he doesn’t share my over-enthusiasm for it.  ;)  This past weekend was SO gorgeous that we just knew we had to do something outside to enjoy it, so we decided to make a trip to the zoo.  The weather was PERFECT and I think even the animals agreed.  They were very active and it was fun to see and hear them!

We FINALLY got up close and personal with the tigers!!!!  They are usually napping when we go, but today the girl tiger was walking back and forth right in front of the big window.  Asher loved it, but would jump back every time she got a little too close. 

The next pictures crack me up!  The walrus was just hanging out against the window, doing who-knows-what.  I thought it would be cool to get Asher’s picture next to it.  He was a little nervous about getting so close, but I quickly tried assure him he was safe and the walrus wasn’t going to get through the glass.  I was trying to move fast because there was a line of people also wanting to snap pictures.  It wasn’t until I got home that I saw how nervous he really was about being so close to the walrus!

Jesse had so much fun, too.  He’s hitting an age where he is actually noticing the animals.  He especially loved the elephants!!

Can you blame him?  Oh my goodness that baby was TOO precious!
