Not exactly sure why, but this has been a looooooong week. I think it’s been a combination of colder weather keeping us inside more and Jesse running a fever two days which kept us at home on the two days when we were supposed to go to Bible Study and a MOPS playdate at Monkey Joe’s. I was hoping for a trip to the Children’s museum with a friend, but it got bumped to next week so we’ve had lots of low-key play time at home.
I think I must have been going stir crazy by Wednesday because despite Jesse running a fever I still loaded the boys up in the car to run through a few drive-thru’s for a fun breakfast. Our Chick-Fil-A gives out free breakfasts on Wednesdays so that was our first stop, and then we swung through Dunkin Donuts to satisfy my sweet tooth!
And we’re off! Notice the slippers. ;)
Love that cute smile!
We got the goods and we’re headed home! Don’t worry I did add a little bit of fruit to this oh-so-nutritious breakfast. ;)

I did find some time to FINALLY finish a sewing project for Jesse’s room. Poor kid, being born six days after your family moves into a new house means you’re lucky to have a room that isn’t painted purple and a crib to sleep in. Not too much in the decorating department. I have a few more things I’d like to hang on the walls and then I’ll feel like it actually looks like a nursery! :) The wall above his crib was SO bare, but I didn’t want to hang anything heavy above him so I sewed up these pennant flags out of extra fabric I had from lots of miscellaneous projects. I think I like it! I’m still trying to decide if it needs to ‘swoop’ a little bit more or not?
It really looks like Jesse loves it, huh?!
Speaking of Jess, he is getting faster every day!!
I left him in the room when I went to help Asher with something and came back a minute later and found him on the other side of the room under the train table. I don’t even know how he fit under there!
The rest of the week was a blur of cozy at-home play.
Happy Friday!
