Despite neglecting to blog about it we did have a fun Valentine’s Day here last week!! We woke up to SNOW (!!) and enjoyed a day full of cards, gifts, heart-shaped food and yummy treats. Asher and Jesse woke up to some little presents and cards and a balloon which is still floating around our house and driving Daisy crazy! :)
I L-O-V-E Valentine’s Day! It’s fun to make a ‘normal’ day extra fun with silly things like heart-shaped sandwiches. I love the chance to show my boys (all three of them) extra expressions of love throughout the day!

My newest Valentine – LOVE him! :)
Chris and I didn’t go out this year, we found a recipe online for Maggiano’s Rigatoni D (our FAVE!!) and made that after the boys were in bed. We laughed at how late we were eating and how we would hopefully be able to stay awake… but it was nice to be able to talk and not negotiate with anyone about how many more bites they needed to eat before getting down to play. ;)
I am reminded on a daily basis that life is full of seasons. I look forward to Valentine’s Days when we can easily go to a restaurant or see a movie without having to find (or pay!!) for a sitter… but right now I’m SO thankful for the season of enjoying an evening at home with my best friend cooking dinner with our two little sweeties asleep upstairs.
