Finding time for updates on each new thing going on in our lives is getting harder and harder… Poor Jesse, where Asher probably had each new thing overly-documented I’m working hard to at least mention most of Jesse’s ‘things’ on here. :) The life of a second baby…
Jesse is REALLY fast at army crawling! Asher never army crawled so it’s all new to me. Just recently he has started getting up on all fours and rocking so I think ‘real’ crawling might in our near future?! In the meantime, we’re officially in the stage of making sure there are no small objects on the floor and trying to keep the kitchen floor clean(er) since Jesse is ALL over the place!!
Jesse is our big boy! When I compare him with Asher as a baby he seems to be about 2-3 months ahead as far as weight/length and what clothes he’s wearing. He hadn’t completely outgrown the infant seat, but he was really close and trying to squeeze him in there was getting harder and harder (not to mention heavier and heavier to carry)!! So we moved him up to his big boy car seat two weekends ago. He definitely seems much more comfortable in the convertible seat!
Of course moving to the big boy carseat means that he is now riding in the cart in stores and sitting in the high chair at restaurants. I think he likes the new view everywhere we go!
Things are much more interesting when I have both boys and need to find a spot for each of them in the cart…
Asher is REALLY not into taking pictures these days… he is either too busy to want to stop and smile for the camera OR he’s just being a stinker and won’t smile so we have been practicing smiling for the camera with him. Here is a cute shot after a little ‘practice session’ with daddy the other day…
He had lots of opportunities to smile for the camera this week while my parents were here visiting us, but Jesse was much more willing to cheese for the camera than he was…
Smiling for the camera or not, he had SO much fun playing with Nana and Papa. Our boys are so blessed with two sets of grandparents who love them to pieces!
We finally bought and assembled a shelf I’ve wanted in Asher’s room for several months now. I’m hoping the temptation of books and toys isn’t too great for him during naptime. :) I really love it!
And he seems to like it, too!
Two days ago we took full advantage of the 55 degree day by drawing with chalk outside…
…aaaaaaaand today we’re back in hats and there are flurries outside. This has got to be one of the strangest winters!!
Well, I’m sure there are other ‘new’ things I’m missing… but I’m feeling a little bit more caught up at least. Happy Friday! :)
