13 months

Jesse you are 13 months old!

Jesse you are walking and talking!  Your walking is wobbly, but you’re getting steadier everyday.  You’ve been taking one or two steps for over a month now, but you finally turned the corner this week into really walking.  You go further everyday and are so proud of yourself.   

Your favorite words include Daddy, Daisy, Mama (once in a while) Uh-Oh, Yeah, and Hi.  Or should I say, “hi! hi! hi!”  You are enthusiastic with your Hi’s and love to greet everyone you see.  Pushing you in the cart through Target is a hoot to hear you chirp “hi” as you simultaneously lean out of the cart to also wave and/or touch each passerby.  You make lots of people smile and I’m always amazed at how many people very sweetly say hi back to you.  How could they not, though?!

You have some pretty cute little curls.  They show up the most when it’s humid or when they are wet.  So sometimes it looks like you just have a shaggy mullet and are in desperate need of a haircut… but when those curls pop out I can’t bring myself to trim them.  :)

You are still a good eater and good sleeper!  Right now you are getting teeth and have a cold which affects both your appetite and sleep, but typically you’re a champ!

For as outgoing as you are, you are very much a Momma’s boy!  Church nursery is a major struggle.  You cry and cry and cry… but I keep hoping you’ll start to get the hang of it. 

Your personality is coming out more and more everyday and it’s so fun to learn more about you!  You like to wave and clap and sign “more” and you caught onto that one after only showing you a few times so obviously you’re smart, too!!  :)

We love you SO much, Jesse!!  Happy 13 months old, sweet boy.
