This past week is a complete blur! It’s hard to believe that a week ago today we were just meeting our little boy! Asher is a sweet and laid back (for the most part) baby! He eats every 3-4 hours right now, but I fully expect our little “week 1 routine” to change any minute he’s no longer content with it. :) We had our first “sick” visit to the pediatrician when we weren’t sure if Asher was developing jaundice, but she said everything looked just great! He had lost some weight, but with how well he is eating he is putting it all back on! :) We go for our first “well” check up on Tuesday so we’ll see how much weight he’s gained back. He has a cousin in Texas he needs to keep up with!!
We love having Nana Jasper here to make us great food, clean up after us, cuddle with Asher, and offer moral support as we try to figure out parenting. We’re so thankful she is able to stay this week too, and Asher is excited that Papa is coming back to see him on Wednesday!
Today, Monday, is the first day that Chris went back to work. It was GREAT having him with us all week. I know Asher will miss hearing his Daddy’s voice and being snuggled by his Dad today, but I’m also worried that Chris will REALLY miss his little guy. We’ll see how fast he comes home from work this week!
