It’s that time of year….

FOOTBALL is back!!!  Last year was a tough year to be a Buckeyes and a Colts fan… this year can ONLY get better!  :)

Asher didn’t have any Buckeyes gear (crazy, right?!)  So he sweetly asked Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson if they could help him out with that (honestly, I searched around here – only Purdue, IU, and Notre Dame stuff.)  Grandma and Grandpa came through in a big way with these adorable jerseys!!

This is one of my new favorite pictures of the boys!  They had both just woken up from naps so they were still calm and were happy to just smile.  Don’t worry it took about 5 seconds and they were back to their wild and crazy selves… Ha!

We spent last Saturday in Cincinnati watching the Buckeyes and just hanging out with family.

All three kiddos were nap-deprived that day and smiling wasn’t high on their list.  :)  Although, Jesse was smiling like a champ and even giving us “touchdown” when we asked!!

It was a fun day of football and family – pretty much a perfect fall day!  (I even managed a trip to IKEA and thoroughly enjoyed my Swedish meatballs and shopping without kiddos!)  :)  Thanks for the awesome new Buckeyes jerseys G&G, and for a fun day together.

A few {random} things!

Since my hopes of doing a baby book are long gone, and this blog is serving as Asher’s baby book here are a few things I want to remember someday…

We had a good run, but today Asher was officially diagnosed with his first ear infection. :(  This would explain why he’s been having a hard time sleeping and just overall not feeling well.  I’m hopeful that he’ll be back to his old self SOON!  I miss my happy little boy!  I had SO many ear infections as a child, in fact, I had tubes three times so I hope it’s safe to say that Asher has inherited his Daddy’s genes when it comes to ears!

This is a funny Asher-story that I want to make sure I remember someday…  As you know we are Buckeyes fans and Asher has Buckeyes clothes, books, and a football.  He knows their logo and can easily identify the big block “O” anywhere.  He also thinks that anything having to do with football is Buckeyes so all the Colts and Playoff memorabilia around town is for Ohio State (as far as he’s concerned).  None of this would be a big deal if he could pronounce “Buckeyes” – but unfortunately he has replaced the “B” with an “F” and very clearly shouts, *!#^eyes anytime we’re out in public and he sees something like a helmet or a football.  We have worked, and worked, and worked on pronouncing the “B” but for some reason it still keeps coming out with an “F”.  At this point all we can do is laugh and be thankful that we’re one Super Bowl away from the end of Football Season!!  :)

Happy Tuesday! :)

Go Buckeyes!!!

Chris is a hard-core Buckeyes fan.  I have definitely joined him in his love of (the) Ohio State.  We’re working to brainwash instill a love of the Bucks in Asher as well. :)

In honor of tonight’s opponent, Arkansas, I thought you all might enjoy this video…

If you have never seen or heard of him before make sure you youtube his “Chick-fil-a” song… hilarious!  :)
