Asher has figured out how to roll over from his back to his tummy… finally! :) He’s been SO close for weeks and he finally did it (yesterday).
Not that I actually got to see him do this… he decided to wait until I laid him down for a nap in his crib. All of a sudden he went from a fading “tired” cry to a very loud and different cry. I ran back to find him on his tummy and pretty upset about it.
Thus, we’re back to naps in the swing until he gets the hang of rolling back and forth without becoming so upset.
Last night was more of the same. About 2 am I woke up to a very frustrated little guy because he was on his tummy and not on his back. After I fed him and laid him back down he slept the rest of the night on his side. Something about seeing him sleep like that just made him look SO old. (I almost took a picture but didn’t want to risk waking him!!)
I’ve heard that it’s normal for them to wake themselves up for a few nights when they are getting the hang of rolling over… we’ll see how long it takes Asher to figure it out. :) Regardless of how long it takes him, I’m just so glad he’s healthy, strong, and developing appropriately. I have nothing to complain about and everything to be thankful for!! :)
*On a side note, we’d love prayers for everyone in our house to STAY HEALTHY!! We leave for California next week and are praying that all of us are healthy so we can enjoy our time out west. :) Thank you!!
Don't worry friend! This phase shouldn't last more than 3-5 days. =) Just a reminder of what it was like to wake up so many times in night a few months ago. He's SO cute, by the way.
