Okay, this is getting a little bit ridiculous! How on earth can my BABY be 7 months old?! :)
Good thing each new month brings so many fun things otherwise I’d be very sad about ‘losing’ my tiny baby!!
Asher you continue to be a happy, sweet, silly, laid back boy. You grins at anyone who looks at you and we’re asked all the time, “Is he always this happy?!” Yup. Pretty much. Well… maybe not always at nap time, but other than that you’re the best!
Asher, here are some of the things you’re up to:
* You sit up without any help, but you don’t know how to gracefully get from sitting to laying so you do a lot of toppling over and face plants when you want to lay down to roll around.
* You roll all over the place. (And you’re really fast!)
* You get up on all “fours” and are starting to lunge and scoot forward.
* When you’re on your back you try to pull back up to a sitting position. You strain your neck and tighten your abs. So far you can’t do get back up without help, but you’re getting really close and so strong!
* You laugh a lot! Usually when we are tickling you, when we are trying to get you to say Ma Ma or Da Da, and when Daisy is licking your toes. And speaking of Daisy you guys are BUDS! She is always by your side and takes any chance she can to lick your toes, which you love! :)
(Don’t worry I stopped that “kiss” just in time!)
* You don’t say any “real” words yet, but you still like to talk to us. You’re great at your vowel sounds and we’re starting to hear some consonants! (Just not “d” or “m”) :)
* You eat baby food for lunch and dinner. You LOVE sweet potatoes and pears, but you also eat green beans, avocado, squash, carrots, prunes, and oatmeal.
* You take two naps a day (both in your crib!!) and you sleep all night (most nights). :)
* You still take your nightly bath in the sink, but we’re hoping to move to the tub soon. So far when we’ve tried you panic when we turn on the faucet so we’re going to have to practice this! :)
* Your night time routine includes a bath, books, and songs and then off to sleep! :)
Asher, we can’t wait to celebrate Christmas with you! Already you make this time of year so much more fun! We have a real tree up in the living room and you love to look at the twinkly lights.
Asher, I couldn’t ask for a better gift than to be your mom and to get to spend every day with you! I’m so thankful that the Lord gave you to us. I’m also so thankful for how hard your dad works so that I can be home with you each day. It is the best gift!
We love you Asher Joseph!
