We celebrated Asher’s first Christmas in Michigan with the Jasper side of the family. We had a wonderful time and even though we were all together for almost a week and it went WAY too fast.
It was so much fun to have all the cousins together!
The ages are 7, 5, 3, 14 mos, and 7 mos.
Linnea and Karin were awesome with Jasper, Benjamin, and Asher. They not only loved playing with the little boys, but were constantly helping out.
Getting a group shot with everyone looking (and no one blinking) is proving to be more difficult these days!
Not even close…
Getting better…
Got it (almost)!
The Atkinson Fam!
At night we had fun on the Wii, playing games, and watching movies. On Christmas Eve the adults exchanged gag gifts. The price limit is $5 and some of us spend all year looking for just the right gift!
Dad was pleased with this Christmas musical tie! Other highlights included some tex-mex ornaments, brain teasers, “thirsty” coasters, and a St. Patrick’s Day hat with a built-in bottle opener.
Christmas Day was a flurry of wrapping paper and very excited kids. Asher woke up for his stocking, but napped through some of the present opening. He did wake up in time to catch some of the action. :)
The rest of our time was filled with lots of eating, playing, laughing, and just enjoying each other!
We almost always play “celebrity” when we’re all together, but this year we added charades. It was fun because the little girls could play with us too. Considering we started playing pretty late it didn’t take long before things got goofy and we were all slap-happy.
Saying good-bye is always the hardest part of the week! The next time we’re all together probably won’t be until this summer. We snapped a few pictures of the sisters and the sisters with kiddos before saying good-bye (early in the morning before showers or make-up, not sure why we waited until then!) It’s hard to believe how big Asher will be the next time we do this!
Daisy wasn’t too sure about the constant attention, but she was such a good (and patient) dog the whole time.
Before heading home to slightly-snowy Indianapolis we took some pictures in very-snowy Kalamazoo!
We’re so thankful for such a special week celebrating Christmas. We love you all and are so glad for our time together. Thanks, Mom and Dad for all the fun, hospitality and yummy food! Can’t wait until we’re all back together again!
