Asher you are 11 months old today!
*I know the centering is a little bit off in this picture, but this is the first month that Asher was NOT into having his monthly picture taken. ;) Usually I have several shots and it takes me a while to choose my favorite. This time around I had three options and this was the only one where he didn’t have a pacifier in his mouth or wasn’t crying! :)
It’s funny to think about this time last year as we were celebrating Easter, watching the Master’s, and waiting for you to come. I was nearing the end of teaching and getting more and more nervous/excited about your big debut! :) This year we still watched the Master’s (Yeah Phil!!), but you napped through most of it.
Asher, you are all of a sudden such a little person. I’ve decided that the switch from nine to ten months is when you really “grew up” before our very eyes! This month you just continued to amaze us.
You’re still a cruising machine, but you get brave and try to take a few steps on your own now and then. A few times you’ve been successful and other times you fall down, but you always get up smiling. This past month we realized you could walk behind your little push cart all by yourself. We had been holding on to it because we thought you’d fall over… ha! Silly us! You were ready to go and made your break for it before we could grab on. Way to go, little man! You are now happy as can be “walking” all over the house with your push cart and grocery cart.
Your tricks include waving hi and bye, shaking your head like you’re saying, “no,” touchdown with both hands in the air, and giving a “high five” – which started as a one-handed touchdown. :) You are a little chatterbox, but mostly words that only mean something to you! You still say Dada, Daisy, and now Mama is a pretty regular word – Hooray!
Naps have made a wonderful return this month! You are back to taking at least one nap a day and most days, two naps!! I’m happy to have my sweet, well-rested little boy back (although, you were always sweet… just very sleepy!!)
We are trying more and more real people food. You’re not too picky… phew! Your favorite foods continue to be pears, ham, cheese (!!!), yogurt, and puffs. You eat other things, but those are your favorites!

and as wonderful as these past 11 months have been it makes me a little bit sad to think about how fast the days and months are falling off the calendar! I try to savor each and every snuggly moment you give me (though they are fewer and farther between these days), but I also love all our crazy moments where I’m chasing you around the house! You are the sweetest baby, Asher. These past 11 months have been so special and we are thankful the Lord gave us such a loving, healthy, and beautiful baby boy. We look forward to watching you continue to grow and learn.

11 months already?!? I think the one picture you got is GREAT! I wish we could have playdates :)
