13 months old.

I wasn’t really planning on continuing to do monthly re-caps after Asher’s first birthday!  We’ll see if I do these each month or if they are hit or miss from here on out.  ;) 

I LOVE this shot because it makes Asher look chubby… The camera adds 10 pounds, right? ;) Well, here is a run-down of our 13-month old boy:

Sizes:
Clothes: 12-18 mos.
Shoes: 5
Diapers: Target size 3 (Huggies size 4 overnight diapers)

Food:
Asher eats pretty much everything we eat (although we don’t really give him sweets, other than a few licks of our ice cream cones.)  His favorite foods are: hot dogs, chicken, chicken nuggets, cheese, yogurt, watermelon, bananas, milk, mac & cheese, goldfish crackers, cheddar bunnies crackers, cheese quesadillas, pasta, pizza, cauliflower, broccoli, and PEAS!!

Asher does not like carrots and is a little bit tired of deli meat.  :)

Personality:
Asher is our little ham.  He is constantly dancing and moving.  He babbles all day long and loves to laugh.  His new thing is to shut his eyes really tight while he is eating and reach around on his tray until he can feel food to put in his mouth.  He thinks it’s hilarious and laughs and laughs when he opens his eyes. 

We’re starting to see more ‘attitude’ out of Asher.  He cries when he doesn’t get what he wants right when he wants it.  ;)  This usually involves food not coming fast enough or wanting his pacifier.  Asher likes to throw his sippy cup off his high chair tray which turns into a lot of mom and dad picking it back up for him.  (If anyone has any suggestions for this one we’re all ears!)

Favorite Things:
*Elmo & Barney!  (just a few minutes of TV each day) ;)
*The remote control
*His pacifier
*Using a spoon
*The ball-popper toy

Sleep:
Asher is officially down to one nap a day.  He goes down right after lunch and sleeps anywhere from 1.5 to 3 hours.  Sometimes we REALLY miss the morning nap, but it does make it nice for running errands or going to the park before lunch. Asher continues to be great night-time sleeper! 

Life with our 13-month old is definitely busy; Asher is learning and discovering new things every day!  We are SO thankful for our healthy boy who brings so much joy and excitement to our lives.  :)
