Life with a 1-year-old!

Life has gotten a lot BUSIER around our house.  :)  We have a walking & talking one-year-old keeping us on our toes!  Though Asher’s been taking steps for weeks, he officially became a “walker” this past weekend and hasn’t looked back since!  We’ve had an increase in bumps and bruises from falls, but we were expecting that – though it doesn’t make it easier!  I’ll upload a video of our little walker soon! 

Asher is also becoming more and more interested in doing things for himself – little Mr. Independent.  :)  It’s fun to watch him growing up before our very eyes, though this new found independence can make some days very tiring! 

   

Of course, Asher has an ABUNDANCE of new birthday toys (not to mention all the toys he already had…) but his favorite things to play with: the remote control, his shoes, our shoes, and Daisy’s water bowl!  ;)

So all in all, life with our 1-year-old is BUSY and just as wonderful as ever.  Asher and I are counting down the days until Daddy is home for the summer (Thursday’s his last day and we can’t wait!)  Chris and I are so excited to experience summer with Asher this year since he was way too little to enjoy it last year.  Bring on the zoo, the park, fun in the water, playing in the yard and with our sand and water table, trips to visit family, ice cream, and just lots of days spent as a family.  Ahhhhh!  Can’t wait!  :)

PS Thank you for all your comments about Asher’s birthday post!  It was lots of fun to plan, and the actual party was such a blast.  I appreciated all your sweet words so much!  I sure wish we all lived closer… we’d have some awesome playdates!
