Spring Break 2013 – Part 2

We had the most fun on Spring Break, and I think it was because we had such a diverse trip.  We could have spent a whole week just with family, just at the beach, or just at Disney – and we got to do a little bit of everything!!  :)

We spent one day at the beach – we opted for the Gulf side of the ocean, even though my parents are halfway between the Atlantic and the Gulf.  It was about a two hour drive to St. Pete and we found the best public beach with easy parking, white sand, and sparkling water.  We set up camp (literally) – one umbrella, one tent, one cabana, six chairs, two coolers, a thousand towels, beach bags, and sandals…  and then we hit the water!  The boys had SO much fun and played their little hearts out.  The weather was gorgeous and despite the joy of trying re-apply sunblock to squirmy sandy kids, it was a fun and (almost) relaxing day.

Every parent knows that joke about how their kids will be asleep before they leave the ___________ (parking lot, driveway, neighborhood, etc.).  Well Jesse was asleep before I even turned the car on!!!  He didn’t even need AC blasting or the lull of the engine… he was OUT!  Unfortunately his nap lasted only about 20 minutes and then he was awake the rest of the ride.  Crazy boys!

Such a fun day at St. Pete beach!!!!
