Phew! That turned into a longer blogging break than I intended… but every time I sat down to blog I was struggling to come up with anything very exciting to write about. But, I’m back! :)
We had a wonderful Christmas and I hope you all did, too! We started by celebrating here in Indy with my folks and then traveled to Cincy for the weekend. We’re now home, with bags of dirty laundry and an explosion of new toys in our family room. I’m guessing we’re not the only house looking like this right now. Good thing we have friends coming over for dinner tomorrow… that should be a good motivator to get organized! Here are some pictures of Christmas in Indy…
Chris got me a Kitchen-aid for Christmas and I LOVE it! We opened our gifts early and I’m so glad because it helped with cookie-baking.
We tried to get Asher to pose by the tree but he kept sliding down… not that he seemed to mind. He’s such a nut!
Opening his basketball hoop from Nana and Papa…
He started a little bit skeptical, but now asks for “hoops” all the time… he’s a fan!!
His big gift from us was a Little People Racing Rampway toy which he LOVES!!
We purposely let him open his big gifts in the morning so he’d have all day to play with them.
Then that evening, after a yummy dinner made by Nana we opened our gifts and Asher opened a few more…
Musical toys from his aunties, uncles, and cousins who know how much he loves music!!
I’m laughing as I post all these pictures because apparently we didn’t take pictures of the adults opening gifts – just Asher. Christmas is SO much fun with a toddler! :)
What would Christmas be without some posed pictures by the tree?!
and by the stockings…
Mom and I spent lots of time baking cookies and my dad and Chris spent lots of time bonding over their macs…
Here’s a video we shot after Nana and Papa went home of Asher with his “hoop” – further proof of how much he loves it! :)
Christmas morning we left for Cincinnati, but not before digging into our stockings…
Asher got new toys, books, crackers, m&m’s, and pacifiers.
His favorite?
The pacifiers! I should have known!
Christmas in Cincinnati pictures to follow…
LOVE the video, very cute! I love how Asher says "yes" as he's making the basket! Happy New Year!
